Our Story
Langhetee Eye Center was opened to address a need in our community to provide exceptional eye and ocular care in a comfortable family setting, with an emphasis on high-quality customer service and personalized care. We welcome patients as young as two years in age, and continue through all ages and stages of life.
We assist our patients with navigating the insurance system (a need that many other clinics neglect), and strive to make their visit as comfortable as possible. Our doctors and staff take pride in our personalized care, and spending the necessary time with each patient to ensure a great experience.

Our Specialist
Henry P. Langhetee O.D.
Dr. Henry Langhetee is a licensed therapeutic and laser-certified Optometrist in Metairie providing complete eye care services for the greater New Orleans Area.
In his practice, he provides comprehensive eye examinations, and treats all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition, he often works with a patients' Primary Care Physician and/or other specialists to manage their healthcare needs.
Dr. Langhetee is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology, and therefore can recognize the symptoms of a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension--the goal being the earliest treatment of the condition possible.
He also completed extensive training in Lasik surgery co-management with LSU Board Certified Corneal Sub-Specialists, and the after care that those patients need following surgery and during subsequent years.
Dr. Langhetee stays current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care, and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. Dr. Langhetee's dedication to continuing education means that our patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available at Langhetee Eye Center.
